Lou Agostinello is the Executive Chef at Athos Classic Greek Cuisine, which has been widely recognized as one of the Capital District's finest restaurants. A classically-trained chef with seventeen years of commitment to the culinary arts, Chef Lou has exceptional skills in the preparation and presentation of a variety of cuisines including French, Italian, American and Greek.


While completing his degree at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America, Chef Lou worked at Jack's Oyster House under the tutelage of Master Chef Dale Miller, one of only 68 certified Master Chefs in the country. Five years ago, he took another step in his culinary journey by joining Athos under the inspired leadership of Harry Hatziparaskevas, a nationally recognized chef and restauranteur. Chef Lou not only mastered cooking in the Greek tradition; he further developed his signature talent of putting a contemporary twist on classic cuisine. Athos also provided Chef Lou with the opportunity to excel as a leader. A powerful presence in the kitchen, he soon earned the trust and respect of his colleagues with his knowledge and collaborative style. Quick to lead by example, always cool-headed in the high-pressure kitchen environment, Chef Lou proved to be the natural ascender to the position of Executive Chef upon Harry's retirement.
